Pictured is L-R Helen , our  good friends at Sweet riverdance kennels in Belgium and Robyn the morning we left after Judging at Mechelen .

We have both been owned   by Newfoundlands for many years , myself 25 and Helen 30.

With us both having young families, we bred infrequently but successfully, usually only when we ourselves wanted a new puppy.

With husbands having other interests and careers that took them on different courses, we decided to increase our commitment to the breed and imported a beautiful brown bitch puppy from Sweden in 1997.

A separate kennel prefix, "Newfcastle" was registered and since then all litters have been bred under this name.

In late 1999 our Grand Champion Jorintho's Sugar-Daddy also arrived in Australia. Sugar gave us what we felt we needed at that time . Heavy bone and beautiful broad rib cages giving us substance .

In 2004 our "Digger "' arrived from Sweetriverdance kennels in Belgium. He has proven to be a happy natured, easy, eager to show boy with a superb coat and wonderful health results.

He is also proving to be an amazing sire, consistently producing coat, bone, topline and lovely rear angles in particular. We consider ourselves fortunate indeed to have him and to have his Belgium breeders as our dear friends.

Our lines thus combine the best from Australia, Europe and the United States.

We both love dogs , however neither of us ever wanted big kennels , just great dogs , so we own very few , breed very carefully and co-own with trusted people who share our love of the breed and want to maintain the breed standard as originated .

Both Helen and Robyn are licenced to Judge groups 6 , 7 and 5 and have judged the breed in Australia , New Zealand and Europe
